February 27, 2018
Carolina at Boston 7:00 PM ET
Boston fans will get their first in-person look at Rick Nash when the Bruins open a six-game homestand against the Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday night. Boston traded three players and two draft picks to the New York Rangers in exchange for Nash, who made his Bruins debut in a 4-1 loss at Buffalo on Sunday just hours after the deal was completed.
New Jersey at Pittsburgh 7:00 PM ET
The New Jersey Devils added some scoring punch at the trade deadline while the Pittsburgh Penguins saw goaltender Matt Murray receive an early knockout during Monday's practice. It remains to be seen if new Devils forward Patrick Maroon or Murray are in their respective team's lineup on Tuesday as Pittsburgh bids to win its 12th straight home game.
Ottawa at Washington 7:00 PM ET
The Washington Capitals attempt to break out of their funk and reclaim first place in the Metropolitan Division when they host the Ottawa Senators on Tuesday. Washington fell one point behind Philadelphia for the top spot with Monday's 5-1 loss at Columbus, which was its fourth defeat in six games - with the two victories coming against Eastern Conference-worst Buffalo.
Toronto at Florida 7:30 PM ET
The Florida Panthers looked like a potential seller a month ago, but they have kept a red-hot team intact through the trade deadline instead and hope to continue their surge toward a playoff position when they host the Toronto Maple Leafs on Tuesday. The Panthers have won nine of their last 12 contests after posting a thrilling 6-5 victory over Pittsburgh on Saturday in the second game of a stretch during which they play 11 of 12 at home.
St. Louis at Minnesota 8:00 PM ET
Earlier this month, the St. Louis Blues appeared to be the unlikeliest team to be sellers at the trade deadline, but a six-game losing streak has changed the landscape in the Central Division. One day after trading away Paul Stastny to division rival Winnipeg, the Blues will attempt to halt their swoon when they visit the Minnesota Wild on Tuesday night.
Nashville at Winnipeg 8:00 PM ET
The Winnipeg Jets moved atop in the Central Division with a resounding 4-0 victory over St. Louis on Friday, only to see the Nashville Predators leapfrog into first place two nights later with a 4-0 blanking of the Blues. The Jets and Predators will vie for supremacy at Bell MTS Place on Tuesday when they play the third contest of their five-game season series.
Calgary at Dallas 8:30 PM ET
The Dallas Stars are holding down the top playoff slot in the Western Conference and the Calgary Flames are one point behind them, but neither team felt compelled to make a major move at Monday's trade deadline. Dallas elected to stand pat as it continues a five-game homestand against the Flames on Tuesday night.
Los Angeles at Vegas 10:30 PM ET
A day after posting a spirited victory, the Los Angeles Kings attempt to complete a sweep of the home-and-home series when they visit the Western Conference-leading Vegas Golden Knights on Tuesday. Los Angeles was on its way to finishing 0-3-0 on its homestand before rallying Monday for a 3-2 overtime triumph over Vegas.
Edmonton at San Jose 10:30 PM ET
The San Jose Sharks and Edmonton Oilers showed their respective lot in the standings through two signature moves on Monday, with the former acquiring rugged Evander Kane from Buffalo while the latter shuffled fellow forward Patrick Maroon to New Jersey. Kane aims to give the Sharks' a burst in their bid to maintain second place in the Pacific Division when they open a six-game homestand against the Oilers on Tuesday.
