Preview Roundups
April 15, 2019
Baltimore at Boston 11:05 AM ET
The Boston Red Sox can claim their first series victory of the season when they host the Baltimore Orioles in the finale of a four-game series on Monday morning. The annual Patriots' Day contest will start at 11:05 a.m. as the Boston Marathon winds through the city outside Fenway Park.
NY Mets at Philadelphia 7:05 PM ET
The Philadelphia Phillies have been either very stingy or extremely generous of late, allowing just one run in each of their last two wins and a total of 35 in the past three losses. Philadelphia hopes the former version of the team shows up on Monday as it begins a three-game home series against the New York Mets.
Chi. Cubs at Miami 7:10 PM ET

After a rare “snowout,” the Chicago Cubs will be relieved to get to South Florida for a three-game series against the Miami Marlins that begins on Monday. They also might be eager to face a last-place Marlins team that has lost 10 of its last 12 contests and possesses a taxed bullpen.

Toronto at Minnesota 7:40 PM ET
A massive April snowstorm put a dent in the Minnesota Twins' last series, but they still managed to sweep the abbreviated two-game set from the Detroit Tigers over the weekend. The Twins will try to keep rolling when they host the slumping Toronto Blue Jays on Monday in the opener of a four-game series.
St. Louis at Milwaukee 7:40 PM ET
The St. Louis Cardinals have picked up steam by winning six of their last seven games as they look to make some headway in what is expected to be an ultra-competitive National League Central this season. The Cardinals aim to continue their winning ways on Monday when they play the opener of a three-game series versus the host Milwaukee Brewers, who won three of four from visiting St. Louis to begin the season.
LA Angels at Texas 8:05 PM ET
Wintry weather forced the postponement of the Los Angeles Angels' contest at Wrigley Field on Sunday, but they hope to still have plenty of momentum - and superstar outfielder Mike Trout - when they open a three-game series at the Texas Rangers on Monday. Trout, who is sidelined with a groin injury, is expected to rejoin the team in Texas and could be back in the lineup soon.
Kansas City at Chi. White Sox 8:10 PM ET
The Kansas City Royals, who dropped 10 in a row before sweeping the Cleveland Indians over the weekend, will try to bring that momentum on the road when they visit the Chicago White Sox for the opener of a 10-game trip on Monday. The Royals opened the season by taking two from the White Sox before their losing streak began.
Cincinnati at LA Dodgers 10:10 PM ET
The Los Angeles Dodgers finally ended their losing streak and are hoping their ace can help lead them in the right direction when they begin a three-game series against the visiting Cincinnati Reds on Monday. Clayton Kershaw makes his season debut versus the Reds one day after the Dodgers halted a six-game slide with a 7-1 home triumph over Milwaukee.
Colorado at San Diego 10:10 PM ET
The San Diego Padres ascended to the top of the National League West after winning seven of their 10 contests on their just-completed road trip. The Padres return to Southern California to begin an eight-game homestand, starting with Monday's opener of an abbreviated two-game series versus the Colorado Rockies.
Cleveland at Seattle 10:10 PM ET
The Cleveland Indians look to rebound from a rough series in Kansas City when they send Trevor Bauer to the mound on Monday for the opener of a three-game set against the host Seattle Mariners. The Indians were cruising along with five straight wins after knocking off Detroit in the first game of their road trip before dropping four of five, including three straight at Kansas City in which they allowed a total of 20 runs.
