Kansas City at Detroit 1:10 PM ET
After a winning road trip to begin the season, the Detroit Tigers carry some momentum into their home opener Thursday against the Kansas City Royals. Behind Matthew Boyd's 13 strikeouts and Gordon Beckham's tiebreaking home run in the top of the eighth inning, the Tigers got past the New York Yankees 2-1 on Wednesday to cap a 4-3 trip.
Washington at NY Mets 1:10 PM ET

The head-to-head matchups between hopeful National League East contenders continue when the New York Mets host the Washington Nationals for a three-game series beginning Thursday. It’s the home opener for the Mets, who took two of three in Washington last weekend to open the season, including an 11-8 win when Thursday’s starters - right-handers Stephen Strasburg and Noah Syndergaard - went head-to-head.

NY Yankees at Baltimore 3:05 PM ET
The season-opening homestand was a disastrous one for the New York Yankees, who hope to find some better days on the road, beginning with a visit to Baltimore for the Orioles' home opener Thursday afternoon. The Yankees, fresh off a 100-win season and expected to challenge once again, dropped two of three to both Baltimore and Detroit on the homestand while watching their star-studded injured list pile high.
Boston at Oakland 3:37 PM ET
It took 23 innings for the Boston Red Sox to finally get on the board at Oakland Coliseum, but they're hoping their final frame Wednesday is the beginning of a turnaround. Boston looks to build off a comeback victory when it visits the Oakland Athletics on Thursday afternoon for the finale of their four-game series.
San Diego at St. Louis 4:15 PM ET
After collecting five singles in his first 27 plate appearances, Manny Machado finally announced his arrival for the San Diego Padres with a two-run blast in Wednesday’s 4-1 victory over Arizona. Machado appears to be settling in fine with his new team, which begins an 10-game road trip Friday with the first of three games against the St. Louis Cardinals.
Toronto at Cleveland 6:10 PM ET
The Cleveland Indians own the worst team batting average in the majors though their first five games and it won’t get any easier as they meet Toronto Blue Jays ace Aaron Sanchez in the opener of a four-game home series Thursday night. The Indians are batting just .160 with a paltry .237 on-base percentage while managing only 13 runs after an 8-3 loss to the Chicago White Sox on Wednesday afternoon.
Cincinnati at Pittsburgh 7:05 PM ET

After splitting a pair of games to open the season, the Cincinnati Reds and Pittsburgh Pirates get back together for a four-game series beginning Thursday in Pittsburgh with both teams coming off sweeps at the hands of division rivals. The Reds have dropped four straight games - the last three by one run - while the Pirates dropped a pair of one-run games in extra innings to visiting St. Louis.

Chi. Cubs at Atlanta 7:20 PM ET
Johan Camargo transitioned into a super-utility role when third baseman Josh Donaldson signed with the Atlanta Braves in the offseason but entering Thursday’s home series finale against the Chicago Cubs, Camargo showed he still can make a big impact. Getting his first start of the year in left field, Camargo delivered a bases-clearing double as the big blow in a four-run eighth inning Wednesday, lifting Atlanta to a 6-4 triumph.
Texas at LA Angels 10:07 PM ET
The Los Angeles Angels are off to their worst start since 1961, but new manager Brad Ausmus isn’t pushing the panic button. The Angels bring a 1-5 record into Thursday’s home opener against the Texas Rangers, who own a surprising 4-2 record after winning their first two series of the year.
