Stars 3, Rangers 2: Antoine Roussel scored the go-ahead goal early in the second period and Kari Lehtonen made 28 saves as host Dallas snapped New York's eight-game winning streak.

Rookie defenseman John Klingberg netted a power-play goal and Ales Hemsky also tallied for the Stars, who have won six of their last seven. Colton Sceviour and Erik Cole each notched an assist for the second straight contest.

J.T. Miller netted a power-play goal and Kevin Hayes also scored for the Rangers, who fell for the first time since suffering a 3-2 loss to Detroit on Dec. 6. Henrik Lundqvist turned aside 24 shots in defeat.

Ryan Garbutt's shot caromed off the end boards for an easy backhanded tap-in by Roussel at the right doorstep just 54 seconds into the middle session to give Dallas a 3-2 lead. New York pressed for the equalizer, but Lehtonen denied defenseman Dan Boyle from point-blank range in the third.

After being a healthy scratch in the last contest, Miller wristed a shot off the left shoulder of Lehtonen and into the net 5:57 into the first period to open the scoring before Klingberg answered just over three minutes later with a wrist shot from the high slot. Hemsky gave the Stars a 2-1 lead at 15:46, when his backhanded shot from behind the end line banked off the left skate of Lundqvist and into the net, before Hayes deflected defenseman Marc Staal's wrist shot past Lehtonen exactly one minute later.
