Rangers 5, Flames 2: Rick Nash scored twice to reach the 20-goal plateau for the 11th straight season and extend his career-high point streak to 11 games as visiting New York skated to its season-best fourth consecutive victory.

Derek Stepan collected a goal and an assist while Chris Kreider netted his first tally in 14 games for the Rangers, who posted a 4-3 overtime win over Pittsburgh on Dec. 8 before outscoring their foes by a 12-3 margin during their Western Canadian road trip. Carl Hagelin scored his second empty-net goal in as many games and Henrik Lundqvist notched an assist while making 29 saves.

Jiri Hudler netted his team-leading 13th goal and Curtis Glencross converted a power-play opportunity for the Flames, who have mustered just 10 tallies during their six-game losing streak. Karri Ramo yielded four goals on 13 shots before being relieved by Jonas Hiller (nine saves).

Nash continued his torrid stretch by chasing down a loose puck and tucking it between the pads of Ramo 11:22 into the first period to open the scoring. New York doubled the advantage with just eight seconds remaining in the session as Calgary defenseman Kris Russell attempted to tap the puck back to Ramo, but the netminder flubbed the exchange and Kreider alertly poked it home from the doorstep during a man advantage.

With his team short-handed, Nash skated down the slot before beating Ramo at 3:06 of the second to give the Rangers a 3-0 lead. Stepan's wraparound over eight minutes later extended the advantage before Hudler answered 41 seconds afterward with a deflection to put Calgary on the scoreboard.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Nash has collected eight goals and six assists during his point streak. ... Stepan's goal ended his eight-game drought. ... Calgary, which went 1-for-4 on the power play, improved to 3-for-22 in its last six games.
