Flyers 3, Bruins 1: Veteran Mike Knuble scored a power-play goal and Ilya Bryzgalov turned aside 33 shots as host Philadelphia snapped a four-game winless skid (0-2-2).

Matt Read scored for the first time since Feb. 18 and Ruslan Fedotenko added an empty-net goal - his first in 29 contests for the Flyers, who ended a four-game losing streak to Boston.

Nathan Horton trimmed the deficit exactly five minutes into the third period by scoring for the second straight contest. Tuukka Rask finished with 19 saves for the Bruins, who have dropped five of their last seven overall (2-4-1) and fell to 9-1-1 in their last 11 trips to the City of Brotherly Love.

Philadelphia entered Saturday's action with the league's most efficient power play - and it didn't disappoint. With Boston captain Zdeno Chara serving a holding penalty, Knuble scored from the slot with 4:41 remaining in the first period to convert the team's fifth consecutive opportunity with the man advantage.

Read doubled the lead at 3:18 into the second period, collecting Jakub Voracek's cross-slot feed and firing a shot from the left faceoff circle that sailed just inside the near post.

GAME NOTEBOOK: With injuries to Ds Braydon Coburn (shoulder), Andrej Meszaros (shoulder) and Nicklas Grossmann (upper body), Philadelphia acquired D Kent Huskins from Detroit for a conditional seventh-round pick in the 2014 draft. ... D Oliver Lauridsen made his NHL debut and promptly was whistled for holding on his first shift. ... Horton joined LW Brad Marchand (14), C Tyler Seguin (11) and C Patrice Bergeron (10) with double-digit goals for Boston.
