Sabres 4, Bruins 2: Defenseman Christian Ehrhoff scored to snap a tie midway into the third period as host Buffalo netted three unanswered goals in the session to defeat Boston for the second time this season.

Fellow blue-liner Tyler Myers and Drew Stafford joined Ehrhoff by collecting a goal and an assist apiece. Cody Hodgson also tallied and Ryan Miller turned aside 30 shots for the Sabres, who erupted for four goals in the third period of a 7-4 triumph over the Bruins on Jan. 31.

Rookie defenseman Dougie Hamilton scored his first NHL goal and set up another. Rich Peverley also tallied and Anton Khudobin finished with 22 saves as Boston suffered its first regulation road loss (4-1-1).

After the faithful at First Niagara Center booed the home team following a lackluster second period, Myers leveled the contest at 2-2 just 2:03 into the third before Ehrhoff tallied nearly seven minutes later. The puck squirted into the slot and bounced over Peverley's stick, allowing Ehrhoff to wrist a shot which sailed inside the left post for his second goal of the season.

Myers helped give the Sabres some insurance with 8:15 remaining as he used his long strides to skate into the offensive zone. The defenseman then backhanded the puck from behind the net to Hodgson, who deflected it past Khudobin for his sixth goal.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Hamilton is the first Bruins defenseman to score a goal at the age of 19 since Jonathan Girard on Nov. 13, 1999. Hamilton also notched his second multi-point effort of the season - he had a pair of assists in a 4-2 win over the New York Islanders on Jan. 25. ... The Sabres, who went 0-for-3 on the power play, are 1-for-30 in February. ... Myers scored for the first time since the season opener.
