Jake DeBrusk scored two goals and David Pastrnak had a goal and an assist for the Bruins. Jaroslav Halak had 19 saves.

Boston (10-6-2) lost defenseman Zdeno Chara to a lower-body injury in the first period, and he did not return.

Colorado (9-6-3) trailed by two goals early in the second period but rallied. Rantanen cut into the lead with a power-play goal at 8:47 of the second. It was his seventh of the season.

Calvert tied it 2:11 into the third period with his second goal of the season.

The game stayed tied until Rantanen brought the puck into the Boston zone and feathered a pass to MacKinnon coming down the right side. MacKinnon beat Halak for his 12th goal of the season at 9:02. MacKinnon also had an assist on Rantanen's earlier goal.

Jost sealed it when he poked in a loose puck sitting behind Halak for a power-play goal at 15:39.

Halak went off for an extra skater with 4:08 left remaining, but Boston took a hooking penalty late. Kerfoot scored a power-play goal with 14.8 seconds left.

The Avalanche struck first on Landeskog's goal -- his 12th -- midway through the first period. It stayed that way until Pastrnak scored on the power play to tie it at 16:43 of the first period.

It was Pastrnak's league-leading 17th goal of the season.

Boston got a break late in the first when MacKinnon's drop pass was intercepted by DeBrusk at Colorado's blue line. DeBrusk's breakaway goal gave the Bruins a 2-1 lead at 19:20 of the first.

DeBrusk gave Boston a 3-1 lead early in the second period with another power-play goal. It was his seventh of the season.
