No. 8 Baylor 41, Texas Christian 38: Bryce Petty passed for 206 yards and two touchdowns as the visiting Bears kept their hopes alive for an outright Big 12 title and an automatic BCS bid.

Lache Seastrunk returned after missing the last two games with a groin injury and rushed for 94 yards for Baylor (10-1, 7-1 Big 12), which needs a win next week against Texas and an Oklahoma State loss to Oklahoma to win the title outright. Levi Norwood caught seven passes for 83 yards and a touchdown to lead the receiving corps for the Bears.

TCU quarterback Casey Pachall threw for 267 yards and two touchdowns, but was intercepted for the third time after the Horned Frogs had moved into field-goal range in the final seconds. B.J. Catalon added 93 rushing yards and David Porter and Josh Doctson caught touchdown passes for TCU (4-8, 2-7).

The Horned Frogs cut a 17-point deficit to three in the second half on touchdown passes from Pachall. Baylor kicker Aaron Jones missed his first pressure kick of the season, a 32-yarder with 7:30 left that kept it a three-point game, but TCU couldn’t get a first down on its next two drives and Pachall was intercepted by Terrell Burt at the goal line with 11 seconds remaining after the Horned Frogs had reached the Baylor 23.

The Bears had already scored 14 points off turnovers when Eddie Lackey returned an interception 54 yards for a touchdown on the opening drive of the second half, stretching the lead to 34-17. But the Horned Frogs, who rallied from an early 10-point deficit to briefly take a first-half lead, didn’t fade.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Baylor back-up running back Glasco Martin also returned after missing the last two games with a knee injury and added 69 rushing yards. … Baylor third-year starting safety Ahmad Dixon was ejected for targeting after a hit on TCU receiver Trevone Boykin early in the second half and will have to sit out the first half next week against Texas. …Pachall’s first touchdown pass was the 41st of his career, moving him past NFL Hall of Famer quarterback Sammy Baugh and into third on the TCU all-time list.
