Georgia gave coach Mark Richt his 100th win as Bulldogs coach with a tough 20-12 victory Saturday in Knoxville, Tenn.

Isaiah Crowell’s one-yard touchdown run capped off an eight-play 38-yard drive put Georgia (4-2, 3-1 SEC) ahead for good in the second half.

Tennessee (3-2, 0-2 SEC) ran for just 9 yards on 21 rushes. Quarterback Tyler Bray was ineffective, completing just 18 of 34 passes for 251 yards before injuring his right wrist in the fourth quarter after hitting a Georgia lineman’s helmet on a throw.

Matt Simms replaced Bray at quarterback and ran in a touchdown with 2:45 to play. But the ensuing onside kick went out of bounds, allowing Georgia to hold on for its fourth straight win after an 0-2 start.

With help from the running game, Georgia quarterback Aaron Murray was 15-of-25 passing, for 227 yards, including a key 71-yard completion to Malcolm Mitchell that set up Isaiah Crowell’s 17-yard touchdown run in the third quarter. Crowell finished with 56 yards on 19 carries and Georgia’s only two touchdowns.
