No. 19 Saint Louis 66, George Washington 58: Dwayne Evans amassed 22 points and 12 rebounds as the visiting Billikens won their 11th straight.
Kwamain Mitchell scored 18 points and Jordair Jett added 11 off the bench for Saint Louis (23-5, 12-2 A-10), which was winless in its first four trips to George Washington's Smith Center.
Freshman Kevin Larsen led the Colonials (12-15, 6-8) with 14 points, reaching double digits for the seventh time in a 10-game span. Lasan Kromah scored 12 points, Dwayne Smith had 10 and Isaiah Armwood grabbed 10 rebounds.
Saint Louis started fast, scoring 21 points in the first 9:27 of the game before entering a prolonged offensive drought. The Billikens missed seven of their next eight shots, allowing the Colonials to get back into the game and eventually take their first lead, 42-41, on a breakaway dunk by Nemanja Mikic with 14:17 showing in the second half.
George Washington still led 48-45 inside the eight-minute mark when Saint Louis went on a 10-0 run to regain control. The Billikens scored eight of those points from the line as part of a run of 15 consecutive made free throws, and finished 21-of-24 from the charity stripe.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Saint Louis' Cody Ellis, who came into the game two points away from 1,000, finished with seven points. ...
