No. 17 Wisconsin 69, Northwestern 41: Jared Berggren and Ben Brust each scored 12 points and grabbed eight rebounds as the Badgers handed the host Wildcats their fourth straight loss.
Sam Dekker chipped in 10 points for Wisconsin (19-8, 10-4 Big Ten), which also received eight points each from Frank Kaminsky and Traevon Jackson.
Reggie Hearn led Northwestern (13-14, 4-10) with 13 points. Tre Demps and sophomore guard Dave Sobolewski combined for 16 points.
Facing the conference's top defense, the Wildcats trailed 18-11 with six minutes to go in the first half and would score just one more point for their lowest scoring half of the season. Northwestern attempted only five free throws all game, making three.
The Badgers dominated on the glass, 43-19. The Wildcats made eight 3-pointers, the most a Big Ten opponent has hit against Wisconsin this season.
