West Virginia 77, Texas Tech 61: Freshman Eron Harris scored a game-high 18 as the Mountaineers defeated the Red Raiders for their second true road win.
Aaric Murray added 12 points for West Virginia (10-11, 3-5 Big 12). Gary Browne and Juwan Staten chipped in 11 points apiece for the Mountaineers, who shot 56.5 percent and made 10-of-18 3-pointers.
Ty Nurse's 14 points led four players in double figures for Texas Tech (9-10, 2-6). Jaye Crockett added 13 points for the Red Raiders, who turned the ball over 21 times.
The Red Raiders scored two points in the game's first five minutes, and by that time the Mountaineers had opened up an 11-point lead. Despite six West Virginia 3-pointers, Texas Tech trailed by three at halftime
The Mountaineers finally stretched their lead to double digits with four minutes left in the game on Browne's 3-pointer and sealed the game by getting consecutive layups from Dominique Rutledge and Staten.
