No. 24 Ole Miss 63, Auburn 61: SEC leading scorer Marshall Henderson hit two free throws with six seconds left to lift the visiting Rebels to their ninth straight win and first 6-0 SEC start in school history.

Ole Miss (17-2, 6-0 SEC) overcame an early 9-0 deficit to pull within two at halftime, then opened the second half on a 12-5 run. Auburn rallied from a late five-point deficit to tie before Henderson drew a foul on Shaquille Johnson and went to the line.

Ladarius White scored 17 points, hitting three 3-pointers, as the Rebels made 11-of-24 from deep. That helped compensate for Ole Miss' horrific 4-of-17 free-throw shooting. Henderson finished with 15 points and Jarvis Summers 14.

Auburn (8-11, 2-4) lost its fourth straight after a 2-0 SEC start.

After Henderson, who entered averaging 19.4 points, hit his foul shots, Auburn’s Frankie Sullivan missed a potential game-winning 3-pointer. Sullivan scored 12, and Chris Denson led the Tigers with 18.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Ole Miss senior F Murphy Holloway had 11 rebounds to give him 941 in his career, four shy of Walter Actwood’s school record. … Ole Miss coach Andy Kennedy is two wins away from tying B.L. Graham (144) for the most wins in program history. Kennedy is 142-80 in seven seasons. … Ole Miss improved to 12-49 at Auburn and trails the all-time series 73-53.
