No. 2 Michigan 88, Central Michigan 73: Trey Burke racked up 22 points and matched a career high with 11 assists and freshman Glenn Robinson III added 20 points as the host Wolverines cruised past the Chippewas.
Freshman Nik Stauskas contributed 19 points on 5-of-8 shooting from 3-point range and grabbed a team-high seven rebounds for Michigan (13-0), which is off to its best start since a school-record 16-0 run beginning the 1985-86 season.
Olivier Mbaigoto had 14 points and five rebounds to lead Central Michigan (7-6), which has lost 21 of 24 all-time meetings with Michigan. Austin Keel and Derrick Richardson Jr. added 11 points apiece.
The Wolverines raced to a 9-2 lead and never trailed. They led 46-29 at halftime and used a 12-2 run to push the margin as wide as 58-33 with 16:34 left.
Michigan was extremely efficient at the offensive end, shooting 51.5 percent (35-of-68) with 21 assists and a season-low three turnovers.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Michigan wrapped up its first undefeated non-conference slate since 1985-86. … The Wolverines improved to 24-0 under coach John Beilein when scoring 80 or more points. … Michigan was without its No. 2 scorer, Tim Hardaway Jr. (15.8 points, 5.3 rebounds), who sat out with a right ankle injury.
