The Tigers shot 16-of-27 from 3-point range, with 12 of those makes coming after halftime as they pulled away from the overmatched Red Raiders.
Texas Tech (8-22, 1-17 Big 12) shot 54 percent in the first half to hang in the game and trailed only 32-28 at the break.
Marcus Denmon went scoreless in the first period for the first time this season, but he led the 3-point barrage in the second half. The Tigers immediately built the lead to 43-33 on Denmon’s 3-pointer with 16:32 remaining, and then Denmon nailed two more from long distance on back-to-back possessions that stretched the edge all the way up to 58-40 with about 10 minutes left.
Denmon finished with 17 points on 5-of-9 shooting from long range.
Game notebook: Mizzou big man Ricardo Ratliffe had 13 points and a season-high 15 rebounds … Texas Tech has lost six straight… The Red Raiders lost by double digits for the 12th time in Big 12 play.
