ARIZONA 65, UCLA 63: Kyle Fogg scored 16 of his team-high 20 points in the second half and despite some poor free-throw shooting in the final seconds the Wildcats hung on for the Pac-12 win in Tucson, Ariz.
UCLA had a chance to tie the game but Jerime Anderson, who led the Bruins with 20 points, missed a 15-footer as time expired.
Fogg scored four straight points to give Arizona (21-9, 12-5 Pac-12) the lead for good, 54-53, with 4:06 to play. He later hit a 3-pointer to extend the Wildcats’ lead to 63-57. But Arizona hit just 2 of 6 from the line in the final minute giving UCLA a chance to get back into it.
Jesse Perry added 16 points for Arizona and Solomon Hill had 13.
UCLA (16-13, 9-7 Pac-12) got 13 points from Travis Wear and 11 from Tyler Lamb but failed to cap the season sweep.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Josh Smith scored nine points off the bench for UCLA but was once again limited by foul problems. … UCLA opened up a six-point lead in the second half. …Bruins guard Lazeric Jones was 1 for 12 from the floor and finished with five points.
