MISSOURI 83, OKLAHOMA STATE 65: Marcus Denmon scored 17 points and the No. 3 Tigers moved into a first-place tie with Kansas at 11-2 in the Big 12.
Five others reached double figures, including Michael Dixon, Phil Pressey and Ricardo Ratliffe with 15 points apiece for host Missouri, which at 24-2 is off to the school’s best start since the 1993-1994 team also won 24 of its first 26 games.
Missouri, the top shooting team in the Big 12, kept it up against the Cowboys, hitting 32 of 61 (52.5 percent) in winning its sixth consecutive game.
Keiton Page led all scorers with 23 points - including five 3-pointers - for Oklahoma State (12-14, 5-8), though each long ball came after Missouri had built a sizeable, second-half lead.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Missouri trailed by three early in the game, but thanks to 11 of Dixon’s 13 first-half points off the bench, went on a 27-4 run to grab a 20-point lead. … In the first half, Oklahoma State went more than five minutes without scoring a point and shot only 35 percent (10 of 28) … The margin of victory was Missouri’s largest in the series since a 19-point win in March, 1997. Missouri’s senior class broke a tie with the group from 1979-1983 and set the school record for wins with 101.
