DUKE 73, MARYLAND 55: Miles Plumlee collected 13 points and a career-high 22 rebounds off the bench and younger brother Mason added 16 and 10 as No. 9 Duke dominated the interior to top visiting Maryland.
Seth Curry led with 19 points for the Blue Devils (21-4, 8-2 ACC), who avoided a three-game home losing streak.
Maryland (14-10, 4-6) was within 53-49 when Duke called a timeout with 8:34 to play. Whatever coach Mike Krzyzewski said in the huddle worked, as the Blue Devils closed the game with a 20-6 burst.
Miles Plumlee pulled down 10 rebounds in the first half to help Duke overcome 32 percent shooting in the period. He and Mason combined for 16 offensive boards in the contest.
Nick Faust scored 16 points for the Terrapins while leading scorer Terrell Stoglin was held to 13 on 4-of-16 shooting.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Austin Rivers played all 40 minutes for the Blue Devils but slipped to 11 points after pouring in 29 in a dramatic win over North Carolina earlier in the week … Duke ended up with a 48-33 advantage on the glass … Maryland shot 1 of 14 from 3-point range.
