Julysses Nobles and B.J. Young each scored 24 points as host Arkansas upended No. 16 Mississippi State 98-88 on Saturday.
Nobles made 7-of-11 from the field, including four 3-pointers, to reach a career-high in scoring, and added five assists to spark the Razorbacks (12-3, 1-0 SEC) to their seventh consecutive win.
Young, a freshman, made 10-of-13 from the field and hit two 3-point baskets.
Arkansas also got 12 points and five assists from Mardracus Wade, 11 points and six rebounds from Rashad Madden and 12 points Michael Sanchez.
The 98 points were the most scored by the Razorbacks this season and the most they’ve scored against Mississippi State since ringing up 115 in 1993.
Mississippi State (13-3, 0-1) was led by Dee Bost with 21 points and Rodney Hood with 17 points and five rebounds. Arnett Moultrie had a game-high 10 rebounds.
