Keiton Page scored 23 points, including 10 in the final three minutes, to help Oklahoma State hold off visiting Texas Tech for a 67-59 victory on Wednesday night.
Freshman Le’Bryan Nash tied a career-high with 21 points for the Cowboys (8-6, 1-0 Big 12), who led 40-29 at halftime and by as many as 13 in the second half but let the Red Raiders chip away at the lead.
After Marek Soucek found Page for a layup that stretched Oklahoma State’s advantage to 52-39 with 12:48 remaining, Texas Tech (7-6, 0-1 Big 12) clawed back with a 16-5 spurt and pulled to within 57-55 on Javarez Willis’ layup with 3:14 left.
But two Page 3-pointers helped Oklahoma State seal the win, including one with 61 seconds remaining that made it 63-57.
Markel Brown had 10 points off the bench for the Cowboys, who moved to 18-3 all-time against the Red Raiders at Gallagher-Iba Arena.
Freshman Jordan Tolbert had 13 points and 13 rebounds for his first career double-double for Texas Tech, which snapped a brief two-game winning streak.
