Freshman Le’Bryan Nash scored 12 of his 19 points in the second half to lead Oklahoma State to a 72-67 comeback victory over host Missouri State on Wednesday.
The Cowboys (6-2) held the Bears scoreless over the final four minutes to win their third straight game and snap the Bears’ 22-game non-conference home winning streak.
Keiton Page added 15 points and Jean-Paul Olukemi had 13 points and nine rebounds for Oklahoma State, which moved to 7-0 all-time against Missouri State.
Kyle Weems recorded a season-high 24 points and 12 boards for the Bears (4-3), who have dropped three in a row.
Weems scored 10 points over a three-minute stretch late in the first half, fueling a 16-4 Missouri State run to close the half and take a 34-27 lead into the break.
Oklahoma State, though, opened the second half on a 20-13 spurt and tied the game at 47 when Nash hit a 3-pointer and scored on a putback with 12:04 remaining.
The two teams traded buckets for much of the later part of the game until Oklahoma State went ahead 69-67 on Fred Gulley's free throw with 1:08 left.
Anthony Downing missed a 3-pointer from the left wing on Missouri State’s following possession, leading to more Cowboys free throws that sealed the win.
The Bears missed six straight shots over the final four minutes of the game to relinquish a 67-65 lead.
