Pittsburgh improved to 8-1 and has won six in a row since losing to Long Beach State on Nov. 16. Nasir Robinson recorded his second straight double-double — 19 points and 14 rebounds — and J.J. Moore added 16 points for the Panthers, who shot 47 percent from the floor.
Meanwhile, Virginia Military (3-5, 0-2 Big South) continued its road struggles and fell to 0-5 away from home. The Keydets had no answers defensively and allowed more than 80 points for the fifth time.
Stan Okoye, who scored a team-high 18 points in the Keydets’ loss to Charleston Southern, finished with 14 points and Jordan Weethee had a team-high 18 points on 6-of-13 shooting for Virginia Military, which lost its fourth straight game after being outrebounded 55-27, including 20-8 on the offensive glass.
Pittsburgh, which held its opponent to 70 or fewer points for the sixth time, won against a non-conference opponent at home for the 61st time in its last 62 games.
