Cade Davis closed out his collegiate career with 22 points and Oklahoma ended an eight-game losing streak with a 64-61 victory over visiting rival Oklahoma State in the Bedlam series on Saturday.
The Sooners’ lone senior, Davis was 6 of 12 from the floor and 10 of 13 from the free-throw line. Cameron Clark added 15 points for Oklahoma (13-17, 5-11 Big 12), which picked up its first win since Feb. 2.
Marshall Moses had 16 points and Markel Brown added 12 for the Cowboys (18-12, 6-10), who never led after the Sooners opened the second half on a 10-3 run. Davis scored eight points during the spurt.
Moses’ free throws with 28 seconds left pulled the Cowboys to within 63-61. But after Clark split a pair of free throws, Reger Dowell’s game-tying 3-point attempt was off the mark.
Oklahoma will be the No. 10 seed in the upcoming Big 12 tournament and will play No.7 Baylor on Wednesday. The Cowboys, meanwhile, will be the No. 9 seed and face No. 8 Nebraska.
