Dion Dixon scored a career-high 25 points as Cincinnati stayed unbeaten with a 64-48 win over Miami (Ohio) on Tuesday night.
The Bearcats (11-0) led 35-28 at halftime and dominated the second half to pull away. Cashmere Wright and Ibrahima Thomas scored 11 points apiece for Cincinnati, which hit 21 of 54 from the field. Thomas added 13 rebounds
Cincinnati's defense held Miami (5-7) to 16 of 44 shooting. Nick Winbush led the RedHawks with 11 points while Antonio Ballard scored 10. Julian Muvunga, the RedHawks' leading scorer with a 13.9 average, was held to seven points, making only 2 of 8 from the field.
Cincinnati outrebounded Miami 40-28 and forced the Redhawks into 14 turnovers.
The game was Cincinnati's first appearance in Millett Hall since the 1992-93 season.
