Cincinnati is still waiting for its first real test of the season because it didn’t get one from Georgia Southern on Tuesday night.
A total of 13 different Bearcats scored, and no one played more than 23 minutes in their 99-54 victory.
Cincinnati (9-0) entered the game having played a less than challenging schedule for the most part as they won their first eight games by an average of 18.8 points. The Bearcats did nothing to hurt that average against the Eagles as they raced out to a big lead and cruised.
Rashad Bishop, Ibrahima Thomas, Yancy Gates and Dion Dixon scored 12 points apiece for Cincinnati, which led 50-23 lead at the break. Larry Davis and Sean Kilpatrick also scored in double figures for the Bearcats with 11 and 10 points, respectively.
Eric Ferguson and Rory Spencer both scored 16 points for Georgia Southern (3-8), which was outrebounded 41-27 and committed 15 turnovers.
