Kuzma scored Washington's next eight points to push the advantage to 10. His three-point play and hook shot during a 20-second span later made it 86-72 with 3:36 left in the quarter.

Detroit cut the deficit to eight before the third ended, but Kuzma drained a long 3-pointer to give the Wizards a 94-83 lead heading into the fourth.

Avdija opened the quarter with a three-point play and Gallinari followed with a mid-range jumper to increase the lead to 16.

Bilal Coulibaly's dunk after a Detroit turnover made it 103-85.
