Pacers 81, Hawks 73: David West and George Hill each scored 21 points as visiting Indiana snapped a 13-game losing streak in Atlanta and closed out the best-of-seven Eastern Conference series 4-2.

Roy Hibbert collected 17 points and 11 rebounds and Lance Stephenson had 11 boards for the Pacers, who will take on the second-seeded New York Knicks in the semifinals. Game 1 is Sunday afternoon in New York.

Al Horford scored 15 points and Devin Harris and Josh Smith had 14 apiece as the Hawks fell into a big hole in the third quarter and could not quite pull themselves all the way out. Kyle Korver scored 12 points off the bench but went 0-for-7 from 3-point range as Atlanta struggled to 3-for-19 from beyond the arc.

The Hawks used a 17-4 burst in the fourth quarter to trim a 17-point deficit to 73-69 on Horford’s free throw with 3:43 left. It got as close as 76-73 when Horford struck again with 2:41 to play, but West hit a layup on the ensuing possession and blocked a shot in the final minute to help Indiana clinch it.

The Pacers took a 37-29 lead into the break and quickly stretched it out in the third quarter behind Hill and West. The two combined for 22 points in the period as Indiana pushed the lead to as much as 19 points in the period before settling for a 65-50 advantage heading into the fourth.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Atlanta shot 24 percent in the first half and was held to nine points on 6.7 percent in the second quarter. … The Pacers dominated the glass 53-35 to help overcome 17 turnovers. … Stephenson left the court and went to the locker room after appearing to twist his ankle on a bad fall in the fourth quarter. He returned to the bench and re-entered the game in the final minutes.
