Hawks 102, Pacers 91: Josh Smith collected 29 points and 11 rebounds as host Atlanta evened the best-of-seven series with Indiana at two games apiece.

Kyle Korver hit five 3-pointers en route to 19 points off the bench and Al Horford added 18 for the Hawks, who have held the Pacers to an average of 80 points in the last two games to crawl out of an 0-2 hole. Game 5 is Wednesday at Indiana.

Paul George recorded 21 points and 12 rebounds and David West had 15 and six as the Pacers struggled to 38.1 percent from the field.

Indiana crept to within 92-87 with 1:46 left but Horford knocked down a jumper and found Smith for a layup on the next possession to push it out to a nine-point edge. Atlanta went 6-for-6 from the free throw line in the final 26 seconds to close it out.

The Hawks took control with a 25-6 run bridging the first and second quarters and took a 57-40 lead into the locker room. Horford got into foul trouble in the third quarter and the Pacers took advantage, using a 15-1 burst to draw within four points before Atlanta spread it back to 69-62 entering the fourth.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Indiana has lost 13 consecutive games in Atlanta. … Johan Petro started at center for the Hawks after missing practice on Sunday to fly back to his home in Miami for the birth of his first child. … The Pacers averaged 110 points in the first two games.
