Pacers 106, Hawks 83: David West scored 24 points and Paul George collected 21 and 10 rebounds as host Indiana took a 3-2 lead over Atlanta in the best-of-seven series.

George Hill had 15 points and 10 assists and Roy Hibbert scored 18 for the Pacers, who have gone 3-0 at home in the series but will travel back to Atlanta for Game 6 on Friday.

Josh Smith battled through foul trouble and ended up with 14 points while Al Horford recorded 14 points and nine rebounds as the Hawks shot 33.3 percent and struggled to maintain their composure in a physical battle.

Indiana took a 50-43 lead into the half and started to spread it out with a 7-1 run to begin the third quarter. Smith hit a shot to give Atlanta its first field goal 3 1/2 minutes into the period but picked up two personal fouls and a technical over the next minute before heading to the bench with the Hawks trailing by 11.

The Pacers pushed the lead to as much as 68-48 before settling for an 81-67 lead heading into the fourth. George was fouled on a 3-point attempt and hit all three free throws with 8:06 left to spark a 13-2 run that put the game away.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Smith, Jeff Teague and Ivan Johnson were whistled for technical fouls for Atlanta, which was also called for two team technicals. The Indiana bench drew one technical during a testy third quarter. … The Hawks went 3-for-14 from beyond the arc and were dominated on the boards 51-28. … A potential Game 7 would take place at Indiana on Sunday.
