Raptors 114, Celtics 90: DeMar DeRozan scored 24 points as host Toronto topped Boston in the regular-season finale for both teams.

Rudy Gay had 19 points and nine rebounds for the Raptors, who finished the season with five straight wins and seven in their last eight to record their highest win total (34) in three seasons. Jonas Valanciunas chipped in 18 points, seven boards and three blocked shots.

The Celtics were led by Jordan Crawford, who had 16 points. Kevin Garnett sat out and Paul Pierce played the first half only as Boston prepared for a first-round series against New York, beginning Saturday at Madison Square Garden.

Toronto never trailed after a 10-0 run midway through the second and opened up a 72-51 advantage on a Valanciunas basket early in the third. The lead expanded to as many as 33 points in the fourth as the Raptors coasted to just their fourth win in the last 20 meetings.

Pierce scored 11 points in the first half and Avery Bradley finished with 11 for the Celtics. Alan Anderson had 16 points off the bench for Toronto.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Boston finished the season with its worst winning percentage (.506) since 2006-07, the season before it acquired Garnett and Ray Allen and won the NBA title. ... DeRozan became the first player in franchise history to start every game of a season multiple times. He also did so in 2010-11. ... Celtics rookie C Fab Melo saw his first action since Feb. 22.
