Raptors 95, Timberwolves 93: Rudy Gay scored 26 points and visiting Toronto survived a tight affair when Minnesota guard Ricky Rubio missed a potential game-tying free throw with 1.7 seconds left.

DeMar DeRozan added 25 points for the Raptors, who erased a double-digit deficit in the second half to defeat the Timberwolves for the 16th time in the last 17 meetings.

Nikola Pekovic led Minnesota with 24 points. Andrei Kirilenko added 20 and Rubio had 13 and 12 assists for the Timberwolves, who saw their first winning streak in more than three months snapped at two and failed to get coach Rick Adelman his 1,000th career win.

Minnesota led by as many as nine in the first quarter and 11 in the third before the visitors chipped away and took a 79-76 lead on Gay's basket with 9:40 remaining in the game.

There were multiple lead changes down the stretch, the last when DeRozan had a three-point play to make it 92-90 with 2:13 left. Kirilenko made one of two free throws to pull the hosts within 94-92 with 55 seconds to go but Rubio, who was fouled by DeRozan with 1.7 ticks remaining, made the first and missed the second before Amir Johnson secured the rebound and hit one of two free throws.
