Knicks 99, Pistons 85: Carmelo Anthony scored 27 points and Tyson Chandler grabbed 20 rebounds for the third straight game as host New York finished off a 5-0 homestand.

Anthony, who scored a season low-tying nine points in a rout of Sacramento on Saturday, scored 19 first-half points as the Knicks raced to a 57-36 lead. Chandler became the first New York player to record 20 boards three straight times since Willis Reed did it 43 years ago.

Playing his first game with Detroit since arriving via trade last week, Jose Calderon had 15 points. Greg Monroe had 13 points and 10 rebounds for his 20th double-double for the Pistons, who have lost six straight in Madison Square Garden.

A J.R. Smith 3-pointer midway through the first quarter gave the Knicks a 20-6 lead and they took their first 20-point lead on an Amar'e Stoudemire basket just over a minute into the second. New York finished the first half 10-for-20 from 3-point range.

Calderon fed Monroe for a dunk with 3:48 left in the third that pulled the Pistons within 16 points. They got as close as 12 late in the fourth before Smith and Steve Novak buried 3-pointers to put it away.
