Nuggets 115, Hawks 102: Danilo Gallinari shot 4-for-5 from 3-point range and scored 23 points as Denver tore apart visiting Atlanta.

Kenneth Faried added 14 points and four blocks and Randy Foye finished with 11 points on 3-for-5 from beyond the arc for the Nuggets. The reserves took advantage of the extra playing time to pad their stats as Will Barton scored 16 points, Jameer Nelson had 13 and Darrell Arthur and J.J. Hickson 10 apiece, but the reserves also missed their final 14 field-goal attempts of the game.

Kyle Korver, who shot 6-for-8 from 3-point range in Monday’s blowout win against the Sacramento Kings, shot 5-for-7 from long range and scored 18 points to lead the Hawks, who were starting a season-long six-game road trip. Dennis Schroder contributed 13 points off the bench and Paul Millsap scored 12 as the other starter in double figures for East-leading Atlanta.

Denver took the lead for good at 14-11 on a 3-pointer by Wilson Chandler with 4:05 left in the first quarter and Gallinari hit back-to-back shots from beyond the arc to spark an 8-0 run that put the Nuggets on top 24-15 later in the opening quarter. The lead remained at nine heading into the second and Denver moved into double figures by scoring the first four points and Atlanta never didn't get back within single digits until the final minutes of the game.

The Hawks went nearly five minutes between field goals later in the second quarter and the Nuggets took advantage by stretching the lead to 24. The deficit was back to 18 at the half, but Foye scored eight points in the first three minutes of the third quarter to stretch the advantage to 25 and the lead swelled to 30 entering the fourth.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Nuggets, who came in having lost 11 of its last 13 at home, have won eight straight at Pepsi Center against the Hawks. … Denver has won four of six overall and scored in triple digits in all six. … Atlanta PG Jeff Teague scored eight points, ending his career-best streak of scoring in double figures at 33 games.
