Cavaliers 118, Pelicans 111: LeBron James collected 32 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists for his first triple-double of the season to power Cleveland past visiting New Orleans.
Kyrie Irving also added 32 points to go along with nine assists for the Cavaliers, who snapped a three-game losing skid to the Pelicans. Kevin Love tallied 22 points while Anderson Varejao scored 12 for Cleveland.
Ryan Anderson led the way with 32 points, including eight 3-pointers for New Orleans, which saw its two-game winning streak snapped despite turning the ball over just seven times. Anthony Davis recorded 27 points, 14 rebounds and four steals while Jrue Holiday scored 16 points for the Pelicans.
Anderson came off the bench and hit seven of his first eight shots to put New Orleans on top 42-30 before James keyed an 8-0 spurt to cut the deficit to four. Anderson led all scorers with 23 points in the first half to give the Pelicans a 56-51 lead at the break.
New Orleans led by as much as nine before Irving scored nine points during a 16-1 run to close out the third quarter to put the Cavaliers in front 85-79. Anderson nailed a clutch triple to close the gap to 94-92 before Irving scored 14 points in the final six minutes to secure Cleveland's first home win of the season.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Cleveland SG Dion Waiters missed the game with a bruised lower back. … Anderson has gone 11-of-19 from beyond the arc in his last two games after starting the season 3-of-15. … Irving has 15 assists in his last two games after finishing with eight in his previous three.
