Nets 101, Hornets 97:
Deron Williams scored Brooklyn’s final 11 points and finished with 33 points and eight assists as the Nets upended host New Orleans.

Brook Lopez added 20 points and four blocked shots to help the Nets snap a two-game losing skid and send the Hornets to their fourth loss in five games.

Greivis Vasquez had 20 points, eight rebounds and seven assists and Robin Lopez scored 14 points for the Hornets. Top overall pick Anthony Davis departed in the third quarter with a left shoulder injury.

New Orleans rallied back from a 16-point halftime deficit to cut Brooklyn’s lead to four with four minutes to play. A 3-pointer by Williams gave the Nets a 93-84 lead with 1:23 to play, but the Hornets pulled within 95-92 on Ryan Anderson’s 3-pointer with 19.3 seconds left before Williams hit six straight free throws to help Brooklyn hold on.

Brooklyn led by as many as 22 points in the first half en route to a 57-41 halftime lead. New Orleans rallied to within eight points entering the final stanza.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Nets G Joe Johnson (foot) missed his third consecutive game. … The Hornets dropped to 10-18 at home. … Twin brothers Brook and Robin Lopez started against each other for the first time in their five-year NBA careers.
