Hawks 104, Bobcats 92:
Josh Smith racked up 30 points, 13 rebounds and eight assists and Kyle Korver scored 21 points as visiting Atlanta beat Charlotte for the eighth straight time to run the Bobcats' franchise-record home losing streak to 16 games.

Ivan Johnson collected 12 points and 15 rebounds in his first NBA start for the Hawks, who snapped a six-game road skid and have won consecutive games for the first time this month.

Ramon Sessions scored a season-high 27 points and fellow reserve Ben Gordon added 15 for the Bobcats, who have lost three straight and eight of nine.

The short-handed Hawks were without centers Al Horford and Zaza Pachulia and guards Devin Harris and Anthony Morrow, but they didn't waste any time taking control. Atlanta used a 9-0 run midway through the first quarter to claim a 17-10 advantage and never trailed again.

Charlotte pulled within 55-50 about two minutes into the third quarter, but Smith scored six points during a 10-0 burst to put Atlanta back in control and the lead didn't slip below seven the rest of the way.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Hawks used their 14th different starting lineup of the season. They have had a different starting five in each of the past six games. … Korver has made a 3-pointer in 36 consecutive games, the longest active streak in the NBA and the second-longest in franchise history (Mookie Blaylock, 42). … The Bobcats are within three of tying the NBA record for consecutive home losses set by Dallas in 1993-94.
