Jacob Wilson hit a go-ahead two-run single in the 11th inning, and the Athletics spoiled Colorado's home opener with a 6-3 win over the Rockies in Denver on Friday.

Wilson also homered and Lawrence Butler, Shea Langeliers and Tyler Soderstrom had two hits apiece. Noah Murdock (1-0) tossed two innings of scoreless relief for the Athletics, who snapped a four-game skid.

Langeliers led off the 11th with a walk off Angel Chivilli (0-1) to put runners on first and second, and the runners moved up on a groundout. Miguel Andujar lined out to second, and Wilson singled to right to bring home JJ Bleday and Langeliers.

Gio Urshela followed with a double to drive in Wilson.

Mason Miller struck out Ezequiel Tovar to end the game and pick up his second save.

Tovar had three hits and Kyle Farmer and Michael Toglia had two hits each for the Rockies, which toughed out 38-degree weather and snow falling in the second coldest home opener in Coors Field history. The coldest temperature was 27 degrees in 2018.

Colorado has dropped five straight games.

The A's took a 1-0 lead in the first on consecutive two-out singles by Bleday, Langeliers and Soderstrom, but Colorado tied it in the bottom of the frame on Ryan McMahon's sacrifice fly.

Wilson put the Athletics ahead in the fourth inning with a solo homer, his second of the season, but the Rockies tied it again on Farmer's RBI double to right field in the bottom of the frame.

That was all A's starter Osvaldo Bido allowed. He left after giving up two runs on six hits in five innings.

The Athletics scored again in the sixth inning and chased Ryan Feltner. Soderstrom singled, Andujar doubled to left and Soderstrom was able to score on Tovar's errant relay throw.

Jimmy Herget relieved starter Feltner and was able to retire the side without another run scoring.

Feltner allowed three runs -- two earned -- on eight hits in five-plus innings, and was rescued from taking the loss when his team rallied in the eighth.

Farmer had a one-out ground-rule double, and after a strikeout, pinch runner Tyler Freeman scored on Jordan Beck's single to tie it.
