Rangers 12, Orioles 3: Adrian Beltre ended a 14-game drought with three home runs - including a pair of two-run shots during a nine-run fourth inning - as host Texas posted its 10th win in 12 meetings with Baltimore.

Mitch Moreland added a grand slam and five RBIs for the American League West-leading Rangers, who lead the major leagues with 627 runs.

Beltre led off the second inning with his first homer since Aug. 6 at Boston and second in 30 games. The third baseman followed Josh Hamilton's leadoff single in the fourth with his 21st blast of the year and capped the big inning with another two-run shot that gave Texas a commanding 10-1 lead and capped his 24th career multi-homer performance.

Beltre, who joined Carl Everett (2002) as the only players in Rangers history to hit two homers in the same inning, is the fifth player to register three-homer games in both the regular season and the playoffs.

Moreland launched his first career grand slam during the uprising and added a sacrifice fly in the fifth. David Murphy went 3-for-3 with an RBI and two runs scored.

Derek Holland (8-6) allowed three runs and five hits in seven innings en route to his second win in seven starts.

Former Ranger Tommy Hunter (4-8) was tagged for eight runs and eight hits, including three homers, over three-plus frames. Hunter, who failed to retire any of the eight batters he faced in the fourth, has served up a major league-leading 32 home runs.

Nick Markakis collected three hits and three RBIs for the Orioles, who lost their first series since late July (5-1-1).

GAME NOTEBOOK: Beltre became the ninth third baseman in major-league history to reach the 20-homer plateau at least 10 times. ... The nine-run inning was Texas' largest since it scored 11 times in the fifth frame of a 15-3 victory over Tampa Bay on Sept. 26, 2009. ... Baltimore C Matt Wieters left the game in the seventh inning with a shoulder injury. Wieters went 0-for-3 before exiting. ... Texas RHP Yu Darvish will miss his scheduled start against Minnesota on Thursday due to tightness in his right quadriceps.
